Thrilling Hiking Trip on Koolau Summit Trail, Hawaii
Koolau Summit Trail, Makapuʻu, Hawaii. Do you like hiking? Discover this exciting trail, which provides incredible panoramic views to the ocean and rugged surface of the Island of Oʻahu. The trail stretches from the Oahu’s Southeast point, Makapu’u, to its Northeast point, Kahuku and is approximately 56 km (35 mi) long.

The dedicated hikers complete the entire trail, which although is not very steep, but demands precaution, because of the slippery rocks. Although human development is seen below, nature in the mountains is totally untouched. Dense greenery, lush forests, rare plants and clouds covering the peaks follow the hikers throughout the entire journey.

The trail is another reason to fall in love with Hawaii. Go there for a challenge, amazing experience and great views.

When to go there?

All year round. Winter months can be more humid, while in summer the weather is drier.

How to get there?

Get there quickly by car or bus from Waikiki. It is a popular trail, which has a number of entrances.
